Lake County Historical Museum

Lake County Historical Museum
The  Lake County  Historical Museum  offers an exciting and
informative view of Lake County’s  history.  The museum is located on the first floor of the Lake County  Historic Courthouse, located at 317  W. Main St., Tavares. The museum is open  8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through  Friday, except legal holidays.

De Leon Springs flows into the Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge where canoeists and kayakers can explore 18,000 acres of lakes, creeks and marshes.
At The Old Spanish Sugar Mill Restaurant, guests can make their own pancakes at  the table.

The West Volusia Historical Society's mission is to collect,  record,  store, protect and interpret the physical and cultural heritage of the City of DeLand & West Volusia County, and to share that heritage with the community and visitors alike.
