The Lake County Historical Museum offers an exciting and
informative view of Lake County’s history. The museum is located on the first floor of the Lake County Historic Courthouse, located at 317 W. Main St., Tavares. The museum is open 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, except legal holidays. De Leon Springs State Park![]() De Leon Springs flows into the Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge where canoeists and kayakers can explore 18,000 acres of lakes, creeks and marshes.
